BiPAP/Bi-Level - Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure

An NIV method in which delivers two air level pressures triggered by patient inhalation and exhalation and supports continuous breathing


CPAP - Continuous Positive Airway Pressure

An NIV method in which a constant level of pressure is delivered in order to stint the airways open and assist breathing


EPAP - Expiratory Positive Airway Pressure

Pressure delivered during exhalation to stent the airway open


IPAP - Inspiratory Positive Airway Pressure

Inspiratory Positive airway pressure


VNM - Vibrating Mesh Technology

The unique heart of every Aerogen device

PEEP - Positive End Expiratory Pressure

Positive pressure that remains in the airways at the end of the respiratory cycle


NIV - Non-Invasive Ventilation

Breathing support delivered via face mask, nasal mask, or a helmet

ARF - Acute Respiratory Failure
